Born Free

Earlier I had decided to use the next few posts to feature Trip Advisor’s top all-inclusive resorts.  After having had a peek at them, it’s no wonder they’re the top picks:  they’re uber-expensive and are the ultimate in luxury.

So, forget that idea.  I will, however, offer up the Number 1 pick, because it’s just too beautiful not to show you.

Garonga Safari Camp and Little Garonga, South Africa.  An elephant and wildlife sanctuary located in the Makalali Conservacy near Krugar National Park,  the Garonga Safari Camp and its cousin, Little Garonga, is pure luxury in the wild.

I'd neve want to leave.

Prices are in the South African Rand.  In Canadian dollars, costs per night in Safari camp is anywhere from $350 to $400, depending on when you visit.  This cost includes all meals, laundry, excursions, etc.  A stay at Little Garonga is substantially more–over $1,000 per night.   Air charters and other related fees are extra.

Born free, but not rich, I’m afraid.

For most of us, this is the stuff that dreams are made of.
